The best way to Learn from your Courseware
It has been long known by the academic community that a students courseware is there learning tool. This is inherently different
from a novel for two main reasons. You don't read it from front to back, and you write and highlight throughout the pages. Athabaska university has provided a list of best practices to gain the most from your courseware, the origional article can be found
here.
We have added to this list focusing on how to create a digital learning platform that is better and more cost effective than hard copies.
1) No Paper = Cost Savings
Education is expensive for both institutions and students. Most people already know that the core asset of the university is not the paper, but the knowledge and learning behind it.
UCoursePack takes advantage of this core asset with our digital learning platform. With UCoursePack students receive their course packs on usb drives, removing the paper out of the education value chain while keeping the knowledge and learning that is the core asset of higher education.
2) Faster than Paper, search highlight and make notes on your coursepacks
One of the greatest advantages that the digital age has brought to knowledge capture is the invention of the search. With UCoursePack each page is search able allowing the student to skip pages and access the knowledge they need faster and with more precision. Once a student finds the informaiton they are looking for studnets can write comments, qustions, and notes in the margin directly on their screen. Each note
made is searchable making the learning and reflection process faster and more enjoyable for each student.
